Dear
Mr. Williamson:
We
have received your Order No.1 of May 5 with many thanks.
However,
we would like to ask you to revise two of the points in
your General
Terms and Conditions of Business.
They are:
1.
Offers
In view of the heavy demand
for our color printers we would very much appreciate it
if you would agree to reduce the period for your
acceptance of our offers to 10 days.
The revised paragraph would
be as follows:
Unless
otherwise stated in each communication by fax, e-mail or
letter, all offers shall be considered firm, subject to
Buyerfs reply being received by Seller within ten (10)
days from the date of dispatch.
2.
Arbitration
We
normally adopt the arbitration clause of Japanfs
arbitration association. Following your request, we
would like to propose adopting the arbitration clause of
the International Chamber of Commerce, which is neutral
for both parties.
The
revised paragraph would be as follows:
All disputes arising in connection with the contract
shall be finally settled under the Rules of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce by
one or more arbitrators appointed in accordance with the
said Rules.
Sincerely
yours,
Isao
